This blog by Terry Haines reaches out to those Biblical thinkers who want Christianity to once again greatly influence our society.
I offer my opinions and observations.

Christian Influence
I want to dwell on the obvious here. Have you noticed that Christianity has almost no influence on our society? How could this have happened? We are depending on unbelievers to do the work of the church. A reminder - 93% of evangelicals did not vote in 2022. We have the society that evangelicals have flung upon us.
Christians, if we obey the Bible, are certainly the largest and most influential people group in America, if only we chose to be influential. If only we believed God that the Bible brings a society success. Society NEEDS us. We have answers. Let us dwell on 2 Chronicles 7:14 until we "get it." God will heal our land IF MY PEOPLE obey, not if this or that rascal obeys or is banished from public life.
I will not flatter the Church. You don't have time for me to play around with pleasant words. I feel like a coach admonishing a losing team. We have the resources. If we cry out to God, we will have the wisdom. We just need to PRACTICE Christianity. Then we will be ready to address society's ills. Like Joshua during his prayer at Ai, God is saying to us. "Get off your face. It's time to quit praying. Israel - in this case America - has sinned." See Joshua 7:10-11.
Let us repent of our own sins and then - maybe - America will repent of their sins. Or are we too busy being normal Christians doing normal Christian things to hear the word of the Lord? Are we too busy judging others? God is calling the Church to action. We, like Joshua, have prayed. Now it is time to ACT.

I'm a Grasshopper

Do we feel our little efforts are insignificant compared to what someone else could do? Someone important? Or do we have a "grasshopper complex" (Num 13:33) when we see the strength of the evil around us, as the Israelites did before they were about to enter the Promised Land? Will this fear keep us from inheriting our Promised Land?
God rebukes us and simultaneously encourages us that we are to obey Him in the smallest fashion. God is looking to and fro throughout the whole earth, asking us to do our part so that He can multiply our efforts, just as Jesus multiplied the fish and loaves.

Turn the World Upside Down
“These men who have turned the world upside down have come here also..."

Author Michael Maiden in his book talks about the areas where Christians should have influence. He calls these the Seven Mountains of influence. Buy his book, study it, and ask God how to apply it in your own life and in the life of your church.
