•• Then those who feared the LORD spoke with one another.

It was said of the Christians of the first century, “These men who have turned the world upside down have come here also...
~ Acts 17:6
It will be said of believers during the time of the Antichrist, And they have conquered [the anti-Christ] by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, for they loved not their lives even unto death.
~ Revelation 12:11
Western civilization has in many ways been Christian civilization. But we can seriously doubt that Christianity has had a major influence on our society in the last few years and decades.
Why?
I think the short answer is that Christians have looked outwardly to correctly judge public sinners but have not looked inwardly to judge our own sins. I want to give a single example today of this. The issue I want to talk about today is ABORTION.
Roe vs. Wade went into effect in January of 1973. It was overturned in June of 2022 with Dobbs vs. Jackson. After 49 years the issue of abortion has been turned back to the states. During those years thousands of people have tried to stop people from having abortions by picketing the abortion clinics and by voting for pro-life candidates. All of that was legitimate.
But what would have happened if in addition to picketing and voting we Christians would have sought God about the size of our own families? The statistics seems to show that we Christians have the same size of families as those who abort. We Christians have chosen not to abort but to limit our family size by contraception. But the effect is the same. We limit our family size mostly for financial comfort and because we don't trust God for the resources to raise up additional children.
What does God say of children?
Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, the fruit of the womb a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the children of one's youth. Blessed is the man who fills his quiver with them! He shall not be put to shame when he speaks with his enemies in the gate.
~ Psalm 127:3-5
The Amish double in size every 20 years, but they have 8-9 children on average. I don't expect that God would have asked most Christians to have families that size. But it is a simple truth that by now Christians could have easily had enough children that we would be outvoting every "pro-choice" candidate in every state by now. That is, we could have done so if ONLY we had realized when Roe vs. Wade was decided that Scripture declares that children are a blessing and not a burden.
It is to our advantage to outnumber our enemies. That's a simple and undeniable truth. What is also a simple and undeniable truth for the Christian is that God gives us wisdom through Scripture to succeed and that we only succeed as we obey God's principles and dictates.
Our enemy is not more powerful than us or wiser than us. Our enemy, like the enemy in the garden of Eden, has simply convinced us that we can't trust God's word.
